Botanical description

Habitus: Large or medium-sized deciduous shrub. It grows 2 to 3 metres tall.

Leaf: Leaves are oblong, sharply toothed and green.

Flower: It flowers before leafing out in early or mid spring. The flowers are yellow with four panicles, distinctly larger due to cross-breeding.

Fruit: The fruit is a dry capsule, containing several winged seeds.

Growth conditions / Cultivation / Care

They are hardy overwintering plants, thriving best in a sunny position and in fertile, well-drained soil. Immediately after flowering, thin the shoots by removing dry, old and weak shoots, as this keeps the plant in good condition. This way it grows back, does not get old and flowers beautifully every year. It tolerates dust and has a good regenerative capacity.
