A tree or shrub native to North America, south-eastern Europe and eastern Asia.

Botanical description

Habitus: grows 25-30 m tall. Dense and rounded crown.  

Leaf: Leaves on long petioles and palmately divided. Buds are large and sticky.

Flower: May-June, before leafing. Flowers are somewhat fragrant.

Fruit: No fruit as it is a sterile variety.

Growth conditions / Cultivation / Care

It needs deep, fresh soil where it grows faster. Pruning is not necessary if there is enough room to grow.
