Botanical description

Habitus: a genus of flowering plants from the Hydrangeaceae family. It can be a deciduous shrub and a deciduous or evergreen climber.

Flower: small, densely clustered in dome-shaped or flat-shaped inflorescences, lavender, purple, pink or white flowers (depends on soil pH)

Leaf: alternate, simple, ovoid, jagged edges, light green.

Growth conditions / Cultivation / Care

Hydrangea likes moist soil and plenty of water. In addition to moisture, the soil should be permeable and nutritious. It thrives best in sheltered, semi-shady places, but it will grow without problems in direct sunlight, in which case we will have to water it more often.

Special use

Round hydrangea blooms are valued as dried flowers in decorative arrangements. We cut the stems and hang them to dry in a dry and airy room for several weeks.
