Botanical description
Habitus: The crown is pyramidal, later rounded and reaches a height of 25-30 m at maturity.
Leaf: Needles dark green, brush-like, arranged around the rachis, 2-3 cm long with a blunt tip.
Flower: Monoecious.
Fruit: Cone rather large and numerous, grey-green when young, brown and rather resinous when old.
Growth conditions / Cultivation / Care
It requires fresh soil and high humidity, and shade. It tolerates environmental pollution poorly.
