Botanical description

Habitus: grows to a height of 1.5 to 2 m, it wraps around its support with a thin twisted bare trunk

Leaf: opposite, tendrilous trifoliate leaves

Flower: flat to bell-shaped flowers, mid-blue spring flowers with creamy-white centres

Fruit: flowers have a diameter of up to 15 cm, it ripens from August to September, hard cone-shaped achenes with hairy appendages
